From the musical, Showboat
Dere’s an ol’ man called de Mississippi
Dat’s de ol’ man dat I’d like to be!
What does he care if de world’s got troubles?
What does he care if de land ain’t free?
Ol’ man river,
Dat ol’ man river
He mus’know sumpin’
But don’t say nuthin’,
He jes’keeps rollin’
He keeps on rollin’ along.
He don’ plant taters,
He don’ plant cotton,
An’ dem dat plants’em
is soon forgotten,
But ol’man river,
He jes keeps rollin’along.
You an’me, we sweat an’ strain,
Body all achin’ an’ rack’d wid pain,
Tote dat barge!
Lif’ dat bale!
Git a little drunk
An’ you land in jail.
My daily routine, besides writing my blogs, includes band practice—me and me alone—with my Apple computer’s “garage band” program, a built-in recording studio. After writing my blog this morning, I thought about the musical, Showboat and Ol’ Man River. I’m like Ol’ man river, ‘cept I got sumpin’ to say.
For me, life couldn’t be better. I don’t do nothin’ I don’t want to do. How many can say that? So, getting back to garage band, from Showboat, if you want to listen to my garage band play and sing Waitin’ for de Robert E. Lee http://joesgarageband1.bandcamp.com/track/waiting-for-the-robert-e-lee-9
Another thing I want to do, my blog’s title this morning, “On the meaning of life,” this title came to mind due to the fact that in three months 1,553 people, as reported to me by email from my provider WordPress, have registered on mymiraclemessage.com. That means I’s saying somethin’ people like to read. I like writing my thoughts. So, here we go.
Frankly, I would not have thought that people would like what I think. The stuff I post is a far cry from the norm. In fact, I’ve been banned from four websites. I’m really surprised at the number registering. The last website to ban me, teaparty.org.ning.com, called me a “narcissistic, egocentric bloviater.” Quite obviously, many people, those on the right, especially, don’t like the stuff I post. That’s funny. I’ve thought of myself as a conservative. The rub is religion. I’m anti-religious. That would make me a liberal. No way am I liberal.
Ever since I cut from the herd in 1975, people have viewed me as strange. But, hey, I’m no cow herder in Nevada. There’s really a strange guy. He wonders if blacks wouldn’t have been better off remaining cotton picking slaves. Nobody follows that thinking. In my view, all people have equal opportunity, and no more—not for any reason. Government has no authority to be in charity work, in other words, no right to entitle certain among us to other folks sweat. In my view, that’s really, really strange. But most think it is absolutely necessary. Blacks, now free to do their own thing, but living in crime ridden, poverty stricken environments, “sweat an’ strain, Body all achin’ an’ rack’d wid pain, Tote dat barge! Lif’ dat bale! Git a little drunk An’ you land in jail,” really! They need government entitlement like a hole in the head. They need education. The Teacher’s Union is making their education difficult.
I judge that the people registering on my website are more like me—strange—wanting to be prepared for the future. I see a radical change coming, and soon. It will not begin with joy and jubilation, but for most rather badly, I think most of you will agree.
Normal people prefer to live one day at a time—let the good times roll; we only live once. Yep, after it was all over, German Jews wondered why “they” didn’t do something. Yes, God helps those who help themselves. But we are abnormal. Normal folks want to hear about the frog that turned into Prince Charming.
I’m a Word War II veteran. I witnessed some horrible things. Many millions of people died in WWII. The world suffered. Before WWII, it was peace at any price—knowing what was coming, knowing what was taking place in Germany with Jews. We are not the world’s saviors. That is an impossibility. We have proved it over and over. As we head for World War III, it is more or less the same. We haven’t lived and learned—not so as you could notice it.
Looking back, came the Persian sage Zoroaster, who is said to have been led by a “shining figure” to the one and only god of the universe, as distinguished from those gods created by man. Zoroaster’s god was found by reading the stars. All happenings were thought to have originated in the heavens. Both Persian and Egyptians held this belief. They knew far more, as it turns out, than the Holy Catholic Empire that took over after Rome fell. Our planet was thought by the authorities that followed Rome to be a flat disc at the center of the universe, based on what the eye could see. There is vastly more than the eye can see. But those who let that be known were tortured and killed. There was no change at all after the collapse of Rome.
Back to those ancients living in the Sahara Desert, Abraham being one of them, had their one and only god of the universe. Abraham was the visionary of this faith. Moses, one of the followers, went to Egypt’s pharaoh with the demand to let his people go. Moses demonstrated his god’s power by placing several curses on the Egyptians, so we read in the Bible. Pharaoh was forced to let Moses’ people go. They crossed a part of the Red Sea bed that was dry. Pharaoh, with his change of heart, we read, sent his army to recapture the Israelites. When they crossed the Red Sea bed, the wind changed directions. The sea came back and drowned them.
But in spite of this god of Abraham, the history of the Israelites was not one of success. After thousands of years of failures, the prophet Habakkuk: “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not wilt not hear? even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!” (Habakkuk 1:2). Thus, the Old Testament ends with this: “And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”
Alas, the Israelites, remaining in subjugation of the Persians, and later the Romans, unwilling to face the truth, and yet calling themselves “God’s chosen people,” came the New Testament. In the Gospel According to St. Matthew, in Chapter 2, the visit of the Magi, Persian priests, came the “three wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews?” That’s what I read. Tell me where I’m wrong.
The earthly king of the Jews, Herod, having heard “these things” was troubled, “and all Jerusalem with him,” right or wrong? That isn’t exactly the way the holy folks spin it. I know this for a fact. My references to the Bible is what got me banned from teaparty.org.ling.com. They didn’t like my interpretations. An every-day poster, a Christian woman, prayed publically that God would place a curse on me.
“And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he (Herod) demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, in Bethlehem.” This is verbatim. So Herod told the three wise men to go to Bethlehem, “and search diligently for the young child, and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.”
But when the three wise men heard this from the king, they went to worship Jesus and secretly departed. An angel came to Joseph in a dream, saying to the father, ”Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee to Egypt.”
When Herod learned that he had been mocked, he killed all that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts from two years old and under. What do you make of that? Herod, the king, in counsel with the top priests and “all of Jerusalem with him,” we read, murdered all the babies under two years of age. Something is missing, right? How could all of the priests and all of the people of Jerusalem be with Herod?
When the threat was over, Jesus and family returned to Judea. When he was ready to begin his ministry, Jesus went to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. Then he fasted for forty days in the wilderness. The “tempter” came to him and said if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Jesus answered and said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
The trouble began, I read, over what “proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Jesus was calling the protectors of ancient Jewish law hypocrites, and they were challenging Jesus. The way I take this, Jesus was of the Persian Zoroastrian faith, the Jewish leadership of Abraham’s faith, and neither budging an inch.
In the so-called Lord’s Prayer, said Jesus, “in earth as it is in heaven…But,” he followed saying, “seek ye first the kingdom of God.” When the Pharisees demand of Jesus that he inform them when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them with this: “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation….the kingdom of God is within you.” Right there Jesus ran into a stonewall of resistance.
If the kingdom of God is within you, where does that leave earthly authority? Earthly authority arrested Jesus and took him to Roman Governor Pontius Pilate. Pilate could not see that Jesus’ kingdom of God was any threat, so the washed his hands and gave earthly authority their choice. Earthly authority chose to release a convicted murderer, Barabbas, and to crucify Jesus.
Jesus died an agonizing death on the cross. He knew before hand that this was to be his fate. Jesus said he would return. In Luke 21, Jesus said there would be signs in the sun, moon and stars of his return, and this would occur when there would be distress among the nations, “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with great glory,” said Jesus.
Jesus was predicted by Zoroastrian star gazers centuries before he arrived, and they followed the Star of Bethlehem, we read in the Bible, to his place of birth. According to Zoroastrian star gazers, Jesus would arrive at the beginning of the Age of Pisces. Ages last approximately 2,000 years, this based on the earth’s wobble on its access. It takes approximately 26,000 years to complete the circle the axis makes. The axis at the time of Christ’s birth was pointing to the star constellation Pisces. Pisces people, we are told by astrologers, are easily impressed by external factors. The sign for Pisces is two attached fish swimming in opposite directions. It fits the current political situation.
St. Augustine said, “Distinguish the ages and the Scriptures harmonize.” Spoken by Jesus (Luke 21:25), as signs in the sun, moon and stars: Zoroastrian priests spoke of an age when man would become his brother’s keeper—following the Age of Pisces. We are now in the dawn of the Age of Aquarius.
Extraterrestrials have been here for thousands of years? Guess who is going to win and who is going to lose?
Were I from another world, I think I would be aware of the folly of the people of this world. Ever since World War II, in ever-increasing number, and still denied as being here, I think I know. It is M-O-N-E-Y. Money equates with power. Big money don’t know nothing.’ It’s mindless.
Basic to life, things and change, and something more, consciousness—unlimited awareness, the last thing earthly authority wants—somethin’ exclusive—thinking minds–it took some three million years to get minds that think, and then, approximately 8,000 years ago, between the Tigress and Euphrates Rivers, a great change took place. What was desert became sprawling cities with magnificent architecture, the written word, higher math, said cities surrounded by fields of golden grain and date palms waving in the wind—all irrigated from the said rivers—three million years and suddenly, almost in the snap of the fingers, this? Ancient aliens were here. The evidence is overwhelming. Throughout the following history, the facts say they have remained. Here for thousands of years, what is it that they want? They have either wanted to be like us or us like them. The latter seems to me to be the more logical of the two. We, the advanced people of the world, didn’t want to join Stone Age people when we discovered America.
With World War II, the atom bomb, and, coincidentally, a steady increase in extraterrestrial presence, one could easily imagine that their increasing presence would indicate concern for their creation. And now, 67 years after the U.S. Military, having first advised us that they had discovered a crashed UFO near Roswell, N.M., later saying it was a mistake; it was a weather balloon, and still later a downed secret spy balloon, and still later that the little guys found were three foot dummies hanging from parachutes for training purposes.
All the many sightings of UFOs were balled lightening, swamp gas, flights of geese, flares dropped by the Air Force, or hallucination. And during all of this flapdoodle, the U.S. Military was spending for something unknown trillions and trillions of taxpayer dollars. They don’t know what it was. Well, at long last, hundreds of credible witnesses are coming forward to tell world the actual case. Extraterrestrials are here and the U.S. military has no control over them. As our protectors, you can understand why they are so secretive.
The U.S. Military /Industrial Complex has for its objective money, power, and control. We see it everywhere we look—in federal land grabs, in the inexcusable behavior of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, and even in the inexcusable behavior of U.S. Senate Leader “Dirty Harry” All of these frauds are based on money and power.
The U.S. Military has been literally buying time, the industrialists involved making billions and billions of dollars at the expense of taxpayers, not to mention the millions of government dependents further taking taxpayers to the cleaners. And, ahh! The American people’s representatives don’t know anything about it? Really? They are debating teams playing a game of charades. This is what happens when the people prosper and become totally wrapped up in their own wonderful little La La Land.
We are now informed by whistleblowers that the U.S. Military has in its possession “flying saucers” propelled by anti-gravity engines. Said flying machines are capable of flying from New York City to London in 18 minutes. Incidentally, said engines don’t use fossil fuel. They don’t pollute. Now where do you suppose the military got these engines? And what do you think they intend to do with them? We are told by credible witnesses that they are preparing to build a defense system that would control aliens.
From my experience, this sounds to me exactly what they would do. They would shoot themselves in the foot. In the Bible, in Luke 21:28. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up and lift up your heads for your redemption draweth nigh.”
The reports of the horrors extraterrestrials bring us, like all the other bullcrap we get, based on polls, 70 percent of the American people believe America’s government is lying. I perceive that the extraterrestrials are going to soon make their presence and purpose known. The same as Rome’s victims, those fearing change will be left at the switch. Only this time, instead of the Holy Catholic Empire taking over, we will make our planned quantum leap to tomorrow’s God. Even the Pope buys this.
